Arsenal To Meet Palermo Over Dybala
Paulo Dybala has been linked with a move to Arsenal for some time now and, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, representatives of the club will this week meet with Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini to discuss the possible signing of the striker.
Di Marzio claims that Dybala would like to stay in Italy, preferably with Juventus, but the Bianconeri are yet to agree a price with Palermo for the 21-year-old, leaving Arsenal the chance to get in there first.
Dybala has scored 12 goals in 27 games in Serie A this season and has been linked with several of Europe's top clubs, including Barcelona, who he watched beat Real Madrid 2-1 in El Clasico on Sunday night. Cue 'Arsenal are set to miss out on' stories...

CHELSEA TO MOVE FOR ADEBAYOR
Every so often a transfer rumour comes up on the inside rail to catch everyone by surprise. We think Emmanuel Adebayor moving to Chelsea would fall firmly under that category.
The Daily Mirror bring us the news that Jose Mourinho is considering a loan approach for the striker this summer. The Daily Express also claim it as an 'exclusive', but give the game away by publishing their story an hour after the Mirror.
The evidence given for the likelihood of a move is that Jose Mourinho signed the Togo striker on loan when at Real Madrid.
1) That was four years ago, and therefore a very different Adebayor
2) That also seemed really weird at the time
3) That was only a short-term loan, not a season-long deal as mooted here.

ANGEL TO TAKE FLIGHT
Angel Di Maria could already be keen to leave Manchester United having asked his agent to find him a new club.
The Argentinian winger's form has been frankly woeful after a bright start to life at Old Trafford and the Daily Express say he has asked Jorge Mendes to put the feelers out if he was to call it quits after only one season in the Premier League.
United are unlikely to be willing to take a heavy loss on their £59.7million record signing, which may reduce the queue of clubs willing to take Di Maria. But with the Red Devils consistently linked with the likes of Gareth Bale, and the off-field issues Di Maria and his family have had to deal with since arriving in England, it is not unthinkable that Louis van Gaal would consider selling the 27-year-old.
Once he has had a year to settle in, it's hard to believe that next season, Di Maria would not regularly show the quality everyone knows he possesses. Whether he or United are willing to remain patient until then is a different matter.

CITY TO SPEND MASSIVE
'MANCHESTER CITY are ready to set a new £100million world-record transfer fee so they can finally compete for the Champions League,' says an exclusive in The Sun that leads us to this question: Have The Sun ever heard of FFP? We are such spoilsports.
'The mega-rich Etihad outfit want to land an attacking midfielder-striker of the same quality as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale,' claims Mike McGrath, leaving us to wonder who he could possibly have in mind. Neymar? They'll never get him.
No, it turns out that they're talking about Paul Pogba, a man never before referred to as 'an attacking midfielder-striker'. As a replacement for Yaya Toure, he would be unparalleled, but let's not pretend his game is even close to that of Messi, Ronaldo or Bale. It's almost like they've thrown those names in there because The Sun are worried their readers have never heard of Pogba.

EVERYONE WANTS DANI ALVES
It's understandable that Dani Alves would be a popular man. He's been sodding brilliant for most of the last ten years, is available on a free and everybody loves a marauding right-back.
Interest from the Premier League is also predictable, the Daily Mirror reporting that Manchester United and Liverpool are both keen to sign the Brazilian on a deal this summer. We knew that already.
However, it's clear that both clubs face some stiff competition to sign Alves. The Mirror also report that Paris St Germain are the leading contenders for his signature, whilst Internazionale and Juventus are both also interested. Borussia Dortmund are the other club mentioned. Cryptically, the Mirror talk of a seven-way battle but reference only six clubs. We're plumping for Chesterfield as wacky No. 7.
Finally, the door appears not to be closed on Alves staying at Barca, with Luis Enrique reportedly keen to offer him a new two-year deal. Up. In. The. Air.

ARSENAL KEEN ON REUS
With Theo Walcott's contract situation put firmly on the back burner, most of the papers have picked up on the rumour that Arsene Wenger would quite like to replace him with Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus.
Walcott was yesterday adamant that there was no rift between him and Wenger: "I don't normally comment on false stories about myself but reports about contract demands and bust-ups with the boss are complete nonsense. There have been no contract talks as yet and my current focus is not on contracts but on doing my best for Arsenal FC."
How about this for a truthbomb, Theo: Arsenal would be better with Reus than with you. Burn.
The Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph both go big on the claim that Arsenal would make Dortmund's Reus their top target should Walcott be sold. They tried to buy him last summer, remember.
